I had two consecutive days off this weekend. It is a rare occurrence, so I decided to dedicate the 48 hours to playtime with Tiny Assistant. Catch-up work, cleaning and laundry can wait – it will all be there on Monday anyway! After spending a few hours at a new park, we gathered in the kitchen to bake an apple pie for today’s Locavore Pot-Puck at Greener Partners. I just love that my daughter enjoys cooking and hopefully, she is retaining some of the “knowledge” I am trying to pass along. You learn by doing, right? So, for our creation, she was in charge of smashing the walnuts and named herself “Chief Mixer”. Of course, she wanted to try our apple masterpiece right away, however, since it was destined for the farm get-together today, I had to put together an appropriately tiny version just for her. Good time, well spent.
